Let us get a hold of this reality; Abba, the King of the Universe, is MORE THAN SUFFICIENT, that is what we need to KNOW from the depth of our beings….IF we really get a hold on that truth, we discover we can do all things, because He is acting with us. We can forgive, we can be calm and keep our peace. We CAN love our enemies. We can do GOOD to those who hurt us, and refrain from doing any evil against them because; Our only protection is found in obedience to Abbas instructions and we are safe in HIS protection alone.

Only MAN’S law is BONDAGE. YAHWEH’S forever law is freedom within boundaries of LOVE!You simply can not take 4 or 5 different Hebrew words for LAW, and translate them into ONE word LAW as in ; “The old testament LAW”, and have a correct understanding. Your law YHWH is my delight, in them I meditate day and night. By them is your servant given wisdom and life.

Consider Abbas grace and forgiveness to us, this is one of THE most significant aspects of being created in His image, that we reflect the loving and forgiving heart He has shown to us. If we as believers, understood nothing more (in-depth) than truly understanding how critical our acts of forgiveness really are to our joy and to Yahweh’s fulfilled purposes in us, we would make EVERY possible effort for healing and reconciliation with every persons who asks for our forgiveness and reconciliation. We, (as I once did in unintentional ignorance) bring such unnecessary sorrow into our lives by not applying our heart to having our minds changed and obediently forgiving others.

The awareness of our own ‘sin sickness’ and the love that must be awakened in us, proceeding forgiveness, is evidence that we sincerely love God.

I’m convinced that anyone (especially a husband or wife) that enters into a covenant while still entertaining lust and flirtation with others, is much like Nahash the ammonites offering of covenant.He offered Jabesh Gilead a covenant on the condition that he might first put out the right eye of Jabesh and all of his army and bring them reproach. 1 Samuel 11

In all sincerity this is true of any truce breaker. The family member who moves in next door, and never ceases to speak ill of you and fault find, whatever you do to love. We need so much to be what Abbas word calls us to be, and not emulate the sin sick world, with it’s needs to “one up”, or feel in control of others because of our fears.

As we begin to actually appreciate and realize what our Yeshua has done for us, we become humbled and more than willing to forgive. We become eager to seek HIS wholeness in EVERY area of our lives, and seek obedience in ourselves, because we see what ignorant, blind fools we have been.

I am speaking of the wholeness Yahweh intends, the wholeness that brings forth the KINGDOM of HEAVEN within us, not our puny self defended version. More often than not, the need for surrender to growth, hurts our pride, that need humbles our human nature, so we balk. But the pain of replacing pride with truth and repentance has to be more desirable than remaining in the same blindness we have always had.

Abbas love for us does not mean we will never have anything but sunshine and lollipops.
We Err to believe peace is the absence of suffering, or that pain is necessarily a bad thing in this life. One day there will be no more need for it…but for now pain serves us in important ways. Sometimes, Yahweh uses pain in our lives as a catalyst, not because He wants us to suffer, but because we can come to the end of ego and to find REAL life! The ego was once described to me as E-dging, G-od, O-ut…BOY, that sure fits our disobedient attitudes!

I have often said that one of 2 headings will describe our walk, every “believer” fits under either; 1. Those who serve the Maker. 2. Those who expect the Maker to serve them.

Sadly, many people are so enslaved to the prevailing evil attitude that denies Abbas power in this generation, that they prefer, even nurture their miserable state, feeding it with gossip and re-telling whatever they can use to justify themselves and keep bitterness alive and screaming.
Make no mistake this misses the mark of our high calling and is therefore, SIN. Sin having its perfect work in our lives produces death. Every single unkindness we keep alive is death at work.
Let us change our minds and agree with our gracious Father, putting aside all malice, all bitterness, which is our own destruction.

Brothers and Sisters, Let us rather, take HIS nature upon ourselves, putting away every word and every lie of the enemy, that would keep us ‘outside’ of The Perfect peace that passes all understanding. May we let our minds be washed by the water of HIS word and become free from our own FEELINGS.

Some people SAY they have forgiven, while refusing any place for openness or love. But this is not truth, because Abba has the power to do great & mighty things in ANY relationship where both parties come before Him with love and a contrite heart. ANYTHING less, has a form of Godliness while denying His power. This so called “forgiveness” the “injured parties” claim, is not trust or love for the Father, nor is it true understanding of what Yeshua has done for us. This a perfect example of serving our pride of life, and leaning to our own understanding. 99% of the time, those who refuse love to others, have over-looked their own faults, while magnifying the sins of others. My fervent prayer is that the fullness of the Kingdom will awaken in His true children here and now. Selah!

THE RE-NEWED COVENANT & THE CIRCUMCISED HEART:
So, let us not continue in false knowledge or misunderstanding of Yahweh’s path of light.
It is time for us to discern that the only way our scripture study can lead to proper understanding about how to walk in the perfect law of Liberty, and for proper understanding of what the prophets foretold: is if we understand that NONE of these instructions can be kept without a “circumcised” heart. They never could be, and they can not be today.

Many people believe that the concept of circumcision of the heart is strictly a “NEW TESTAMENT concept. This is incorrect, we can read in Jeremiah 4:4,Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, And take away the foreskins of your hearts, You men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Lest My fury come forth like fire, And burn so that no one can quench it, Because of the evil of your doings.” In part, their evil was trying to do the works without the true heart, and expect they would be considered HOLY, but Abba says NO WAY! If it is not with a heart of love our works amount to wickedness. We are created with Yahs purpose to always turn to the light of Abbas provision. WE ARE MADE TO show HIS GLORY! In fact, the Hebrew word for “WICKEDNESS” pertains to us being used for some purpose outside of the Abbas design for us. Yahweh has always used His word to correct us and woo us back to what we are supposed to be. Yeshua is the flesh and blood proof of this forever love and Chesed (grace) poured out for us.

It has always been Abbas heart, and so have any things that have been taught as strictly New Testament. Clearly, we must FIRST; Love YHWH our Elohim with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength, so that we can love our neighbor as (if he was) our self. All of Abbas Law hinges on these 2 commandments, the 2 commandments do not undo all the others, but are essential for being able to keep Yahweh’s forever instruction for abundant life. If you do not love His commandments, you hate your own life, and you do not understand His word is LIFE.
The Christian says, “I am lawless as I do not keep the LAW”

But it is written, “And then the lawless one shall be revealed, whom the Master shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth and bring to naught with the manifestation of His coming” (2 Thes 2:8)

Everything that is about The Creator of the Universe is about “LIGHT”. His Law is the light to our path, this is why I have named my webpages The living Light. Nothing is a better picture of our God than being the Father of Lights. Yet His list goes on and on, telling us from one voice to another about His nature;

And this is the message which we have heard from him and proclaim to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him – none!

Psalm 118:27 CJB
ADONAI is God, and he gives us light. Join in the pilgrim festival with branches all the way to the horns of the altar.

John 3:21 CJB
But everyone who does what is true comes to the light, so that all may see that his actions are accomplished through God.”

1 Corinthians 4:5 CJB
So don’t pronounce judgment prematurely, before the Lord comes; for he will bring to light what is now hidden in darkness; he will expose the motives of people’s hearts; and then each will receive from God whatever praise he deserves.

2 Corinthians 4:4 CJB
They do not come to trust because the god of the ‘olam hazeh has blinded their minds, in order to prevent them from seeing the light shining from the Good News about the glory of the Messiah, who is the image of God.

2 Corinthians 4:6 CJB
For it is the God who once said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” who has made his light shine in our hearts, the light of the knowledge of God’s glory shining in the face of the Messiah Yeshua.

Revelation 21:23 CJB
The city has no need for the sun or the moon to shine on it, because God’s Sh’khinah gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

I am convinced there are 2 kinds of believers; The ones who serve the Almighty, and the ones that expect the Almighty to serve them…which kind are you beloved?

Measuring our Measurements
Before I get into the heart of this commentary, I want to take time to explain some of the ideas and words we do not commonly think about. For instance what about the word and concept of; “Canon”? How did the people who compiled the Bible, we now have, arrived, at accepting the scripture which we now consider “Canon”… and excluding other sources which we know exist?
Our word “Canon” comes from the Hebrew word “qaneh”, or the Greek “ kanon”. In each language the respective words represent a reed, a straight rod or bar; a measuring stick; something serving to determine, rule, or measure. Just as a reed could serve as a measuring “standard”, the Holy Scriptures themselves CAN and SHOULD be used as THE standard to measure the wisdom of our choices.
This is the essence of the word Canon as in the “Canon of scripture”.
Interestingly, it can also be noted that the scriptural text itself is also “measured” by a standard to which the Biblical writings are expected to conform.
Otherwise how would we know what writings were just human opinions or some out of place text discovered lost in the wilderness somewhere, as opposed to the writings conformed to the direct instructions from YHWH Himself?
Canon has to have a minimum of 3 very significant things;
The Canon comprising what we call the Torah and some call the BIBLE, as well as most of what is called the Tanakh, has undergone 3 scholarly applied tests.
1. It must be written by a prophet or a prophetically gifted person.
2. It must be written to all the generations that ever have lived and ever will live until the restoration of all things.
3. AND THIS IS ONE WE MUST NEVER FORGET: It must agree and be in accordance with all previous revelation from YHWH.
So we see even the Holy Scripture has been measured by its own measurements, according to the word of YHWH.
Bringing us to the title of this podcast …Measuring our measurements.
Consider Ezekiel 43:10,
My favorite translation of this passage states it this way; “When they are ashamed of their crookedness, they shall measure their measurements”.
In this lesson from the book; Ezekiel is being shown a vision; the plain text or Pashat of this scripture is “speaking to” an attitude prevailing over the children of Israel as they are being lax and half-hearted in their work of building the temple.
Clearly the Soil of this passage is prophetic and loaded with “Hebrew roots”. These are far-reaching roots, these roots reach across time, to this present day “US”, Abbas children here, in this generation, just as they have applied in every generations since they were given.
This translation gives us a wonderfully poetically rendering with the picture of “measuring our measurements”.
This translation is powerful for several reasons. Not only is the alliteration a lovely, memorable echo of sounds, but it is a wisdom picture as well.
We see in this verse how the children of Israel were being careless and inattentive, their actions suggested indifference and not love. Here they were measuring the features for the construction of their own Holy temple, the place where they would worship the God who had delivered them out of bondage from Egypt.
According to Ezekiel’s vision, they were not approaching the building of the Holy temple of YHWH with the attentive care and excellence that reverence and respect would call forth from their hearts.
Isn’t this interesting?
As I looked further into this study, I noticed a wonderful parallel. I saw that one of the ways the Hebrew word for trait as in “character trait” can be understood is from the word; : “Midah”, which also can translate in meaning “to measure”.
How interesting…In the Hebrew apparently measuring, relates to what produces our character traits!
I was delighted when I saw this, because it bore witness to exactly what I was seeing in this vision and instruction from Ezekiel.
I also saw that Abba has always had a dwelling place with man:
He came and dwelled with the children of Israel leading them out of Egypt, in the pillar of fire and the column of smoke,
We see in Ex 15:17 you shall bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of your inheritance, the place, OH GOD, which you have made for yourself to dwell in; the sanctuary, Lord, which your hands have established.
Ps 46:4, There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of the Most High.
So Abba had the tent in the desert, the Holy Temple in Jerusalem but where does He dwell with His people now?
I believe Abba brought this to my attention, because we human beings are to be HIS temples now… His Spirit dwells in us if we are HIS.
Ezekiel admonished the people to apply care and attention to the place set apart for Hashem.
I believe that same instruction also applies to us.
We are to be His Holy Habitations and we must build our “temples” according to HIS instructions or we will not become aware of our crookedness.
His Torah is given to us so that we may see our sin nature, just as Ezekiel instructed the people with the message from Abba. That message applies to us now. Will we receive it?
I am persuaded that we cannot and we will never increase into becoming what Abba says we are to become, unless we measure each of our traits according to Torah and allow Abbas corrections to make the necessary changes in our souls from the top of our heads to the bottoms of our feet.
So what are some of the things that we can “measure” in our personal temples? One of the first things that come into mind is our reactions and our responses to others.
Our motives ought to be under constant measuring.
We should measure our feelings to see what they have to show us about the condition of our hearts.
Our thoughts should be under relentless scrutiny, because they are the launch pad for our feelings.
What we allow ourselves to look at is also an area where we should measure ourselves, because what we look at always impacts us. The Torah teaches us that the eyes of man are never satisfied. I realize this scripture is often used specifically concerning the lustful preoccupation of the male gender; it is also used as evidence that men are more prone to the lust through the eyes than are women.
I disagree with this view, because women are just as prone, not only in the area of intimate knowledge, but also for beautiful possessions.
Women are taken in and tempted to have beautiful things, and through the eye gates they are continually enticed. We must be measuring our wants and the impact of magazines and catalogues. This is why so much advertising is geared toward making women competitive.
Measuring our words is huge. Our words have tremendous power, much more than we yet understand. I have only begun to understand.
Since sound waves never die, every word anyone of us has spoken will remain in the universe essentially forever, I believe we may very well hear ourselves speaking when we must give an account for every idle word. I am deeply repentant for things I have spoken casually, and even vows I have made to myself and to others. I pray that Abba will remove my reckless words far from me when I stand before HIM in Judgment.
We must measure our words before we speak them. There is something very admirable about a person who is not too quick to speak, and this is a lesson I am opening my soul to learning fully.
We should also measure our steps. Not in the sense of literally counting them, but where and how we walk in this life. Do our steps bring us closer to God? Do our steps go where we serve and bring the gospel of peace?
You’ve heard the expression measure twice, cut once? How many of us would want a carpenter that just eyed everything and felt pretty confident it is all good?
We can become indifferent to His word when things are going well. We have no motivation to check what is in our hearts, we are enjoying the moment and out of touch with our crookedness. We can be indifferent to Yahweh’s word because we do not yet see the consequences. Just chill out dude…everything is cool. That may not be the reality, but a moment of illusion…What is called “cool” may just be the wide path to destruction in your life.
We are not to continue our walk before YHWH as babies, not careless in our measurements, expecting someone else to pick up the slack, presuming on grace and expecting Abba to control our choices, as if we are puppets with no consequences or results from our freewill actions,
Let’s not remain little babies always looking to be rescued from pain and error. He has given us the ability to choose life and flee from evil.

It all comes down to measuring our choices to discover if love for Abba is the deciding catalyst in all that we do., If we make our choices from love for Abba above all else it will never lead us wrong. When we allow the pride of life and choices that serve fear to direct our plans, we will construct a warped life and we will become a crooked temple, not suitable to be a dwelling for the Ruach Ha Kodesh. Abba says Bless and do not curse!
We should measure our perspectives.
How many of us pray for others to be humbled because we want them to suffer as they have caused us to suffer?
We can rest assured that whatever Yahweh says about the results of our actions applies to every person, and Yahweh will not be mocked.
Bless and do not curse, because that is the command, If we ask for someone to be humbled, it should be with tenderness, it should be for THEIR best interest and not to exact a price. We should ask for the sake of their hope and healing, and not to please ourselves. Bless and do not curse, (did you know that when you pray negatives on people you are cursing them?) and the measure of these same blessings will be poured out to us…
We need to measure our measurements because we need His guidance for our transformation.
Even our imaginations ought to be worshipping Abba since we are to bring every vain imagination into subjection…to HIS Spirit.
2Co 10:5 casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity by the same obedience as our Maschiach.
We see this even in Solomon’s day;
1Ch 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for YHWH searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off forever.
We must give attention to adjusting and aligning how we measure our choices and our deeds equipped by HIS measuring ROD…And that rod is Torah!
Proverbs 13:24 NKJV He who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly.
It is The Torah is HIS measuring “ROD” that we should not spare, or we destroy our children.
This is also the rod and the staff that comforts us…for the WISE man knows that righteous correction does comfort us.
It is very important that we understand how and why Abbas measurements are perfect and bring us true abundant life;
The rod of Torah will strike at the heart of our disobedience. His word never comes back without accomplishing what He intends for it.
This is a living word, and instructions that will change us from the inside out,
His rod and His Staff ….of correction will drive wickedness far from us.
Just as the children of Israel were directed to pay attention to the indifference in their work, so should we be ashamed of our haphazard efforts to follow Abbas instructions. We all need His instructions for a proper measurement of ourselves and for the correct balance in all of our doings.
Adjusting our traits our” Midah” will bring about abundant life and wisdom…as we do indeed measure our measurements.
If we never experience the pain of our error we have no impetus to examine how we are measuring our choices.
We are commanded to “look after” ourselves as in guarding all of our actions and to the point of bringing every thought into subjection.
We must “watch-guard” our thoughts, and check then recheck… so as not to leave ourselves open to a wrong spirit through bad thinking patterns or bad habits. Measure twice cut once.
If our response to external stimuli begins to nurture the sin nature, we need to recognize it instantly, and make the choice to turn away…not to indulge our sin.
Discernment might also be described as the process of circumspect examination of self, measuring our bad habits and our evil inclinations against the instructions of Torah and making “measured” distinctions in our thinking about truth. Unfortunately, this is an area where many of us stumble.
Hebrews 3:7-15 Therefore if you hear HIS voice
Hebrews 15-19 The Israelites failed to enter into His promised land because they did not believe in YHWH’S protection.
Hebrews 4:1 therefore since the promise of entering into His rest still stands…Let us be careful that NONE of you falls short!
We are commanded to take responsibility to grow in the ability to know and rightly discern truth, and ACT according to His spirit in us..
When we ask Abba to examine us as we measure ourselves and reveal any sin we may not recognize, we cannot expect victory by just putting out a cursory (oops kind of) prayer, Abba please show me if I have sin in my heart as I measure myself by your word.
Of course we all have sin in our hearts. But show me Yahweh, what are those places to which I am oblivious, help me to measure those areas I have blinded myself to seeing.
This must be a steadfast and passionate desire for self-revelation before HIM. Measure me…I am reminded of Psalm 26:2 Examine me, O Yahweh, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart.
When we want our tires to work properly we try to locate a tiny hole in that tire which you’re the safety of your whole family is riding…To find that pin hole we carefully examine the whole length and breadth of that tire, we measure and measure again.
Every millimeter, we do it by submerging it in water. Like the water of His word. If we do not persist, we will not find it. Sometime when we search, we will have holes in our material revealed that we did not expect as well. When we think of our crookedness; it takes effort and pains to measure the human heart accurately.
When He is all in all, we will say whatever you have to do in my life to change me, to seal me for your purposes…
“YHWH, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am. we are so insignificant that we are made of dust, and
yet all of Creation was made for us…we will live in right relationship when we measure our days.
Matthew 7:2 NKJV
For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
Some people are fault finders. This is a trait we need to measure in ourselves. There are people who take pleasure in finding fault with others. They expertly find inconsistencies and may even twist the meanings of words and actions. Now, this perfectionism and fault-finding, might be a good thing if you are a dentist, or a maid dealing with excellence in your area of expertise. But it has no place in our dealings with people. With these kinds of people, it is almost impossible to meet their standards.
Faultfinders belittle their victims, and exact explanations, that they rarely listen to with love. They do this either because they are perfectionist, or to gain power to compensate for their own feelings of inadequacy.
This is something we all need to measure in ourselves. Remember that because of the harm caused in this negative tendency it is important to overcome. Included in this, is our need to measure jealous-envy. When someone is experiencing happiness, or joy
We should rejoice with them and not be envious.
So let’s look further at what we are instructed to see as valuable in our measurements;
Mark 4:24 NKJV
Then He said to them, “Take heeds what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given…
This addresses how we hear all manner of things, what we let into the ear gates. We must be instantly aware checking to see if it is right with Torah truth, and that can only happen to the extent that we KNOW His word.
Yet another compelling theme in the idea of “measuring”: Abba has much to say about measuring and how He counts OUR measurements.

Jeremiah 8:9 …Behold, they have rejected the word of YHWH; so what wisdom do they have?
Luke 36 Therefore BE merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. 37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” It is a command to BE merciful, not try to BE merciful.
Mark 4:24 Then He said to them, “Take heed what you “hear”. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and TO YOU WHO HEAR, more will be given.
I believe that the vision in Ezekiel is telling us that when we are ashamed of our own “crookedness” ie: sin we will learn to measure our measurements. We will be more mindful of how we measure others. This too leads to forgiving.
Unless He builds the house all who builds will build in vain.
Finally, I close with this scripture reminding us all of what comes from the mindful measuring of our measurement.
Ephesians 4: 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Maschiach, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the MEASURE of the stature of the fullness of Yeshua!

The quest for Holiness

There will not be another chance to do good, so the pain you fail to use as a learning tool for your soul corrections in this life, will be wasted suffering without whole-hearted EMUNAH. Abba our wonderful Creator gives us all the lessons we may accept or refuse in our quest for Holiness, here and now. Seek every opportunity to do good while it is called today. And from a clean heart let His beauty be transforming in your life today.

What about the name of Jesus?

WHAT ABOUT THE NAME JESUS?

Using the name Jesus is fine with me, as long as we do not think the that He came to undo the Torah of YHWH, nor the numerous other deceptions and lies that separate “Jesus” from His Jewish/Hebrew identity.

It is not the NAME Jesus that is the problem for me, but what has come to be associated with that name. Using the name Yeshua is better with me because it is the pure language, not a transliteration of a transliteration, and it is beautiful. It constantly reminds me of who He is and the amazing love poured out from Abba to all of humanity.

The name “Jesus” is not any more an “English” name than Yeshua is an English name. In point of fact, I always want to know WHY is Joshua in scripture not called Jesus if this is an accurate transliteration? Since the name Yeshua means Joshua, THAT would be the correct English! Yes, I understand that the translators wanted to distinguish Jesus as the Messiah from Joshua in the various texts, but there ought to be footnotes each time this is done.

The name Jesus is used to refer to the being who is the Jewish Messiah, so it can not help but have some level of goodness. However, it has also been used to create a false persona, a “god” in another image, diminishing the Father’s position, and undoing Yeshua’s Jewishness. Never-the-less, I do not accept all the whacked out theories about the name Jesus meaning some hidden evil or pagan deity.

However, let no one use the name Jesus to participate in a strange religion that undoes Torah. DO NOT create a false Messiah who would turn people AWAY from His fathers commandments. I want to make it clear that it is not the NAME Jesus that is the problem, but what has come to be associated with that name

Remember; We began the process of being saved from our damaged souls and our sin nature when we called upon YESHUA/Jesus, because “calling upon His name means you accept everything that goes with HIM, including, the LIVING and perfect Torah.

I would like also, to clear up any possible misunderstanding HE died, he laied down HIS life in a legal execution not in any way a ritual sacrifice. Because His life was a redeeming love and covering for the many does not mean we are not still responsible for our choices hourly. He was a virtual sacrifice in our behalf, but not a literal sacrifice. We are not given a get out of jail free card, and we will give an account for every idle word.

We ought to walk as He walked, and anyone with fundamental knowledge of Torah, must KNOW, Yeshua/Jesus had to walk the Torah perfectly. Although we may never reach that perfection, we are instructed throughout Torah to bend our hearts to “being made perfect” even as our Heavenly Father is perfect, bringing EVERY thought into captivity to the Ruach Ha kodesh..

YOM KIPPUR EXAMINATION:
Imagine how much more healing would exist in the body if everyone obeyed Yom Kippur, the day of atonement? Inflicting our souls to do right?

One of the most difficult parts of obeying Abbas commandment to go to others and confess “oughts and upsets” we may hold against them, is the fear or sorrow of possibly not being received.

As humans none of us likes being confronted even when it is done with the compassionate love that Abba says we are to have. Our first reaction (which must be put down) is to become
defensive, and perhaps even attack the one coming to make things right again.

I believe this unwillingness to make a potentially bigger rip in relationships is why people have such a hard time obeying the commandment to clear anything and everything standing in the way of total love and support between us. It is also sin in us, because we are not trusting Abba whatever the outcome.

The truth is that if we love someone, we can give them the opportunity to ask forgiveness for the harm they have caused. We can help free them to show the true heart within them. If it is a heart surrendered to Abba, and not a heart defending and protecting our sin and our sin nature, they will come into right relationship and your obedience to go to them will not cause a deeper rip.

Repentance implies a reversal of one’s conduct – a recognition of past shortcomings, and a firm resolution to change in the future.

The two are interrelated; the awareness of our weaknesses impels us to reorient and turn back to Abbas will for our lives.

The concept of teshuvah as “return” to right standing before Abba, emphasizes the fundamental spiritual potential of every person. It moves on the confidence that within each of us resides a Divine soul, a spark of G-d.

This infinite spiritual potential represents the core of our souls, our genuine-self”, as Creator intended

From this perspective, sin and evil are superficial elements that can never permanently affect our fundamental nature, when we are HIS. Teshuvah means rediscovering our true selves, establishing contact with this G-dly inner potential and making it the dominant influence in our lives. Seen in this light, our motivation to do teshuvah is not an awareness of our inadequacies, but rather a sensitivity to this infinite potential within our souls to turn from what causes harm.

When others are not sincere in their walk, it is possible things will not go well, no matter how tender your confession of “wrongs or oughts” might be toward them. In such a case, you have lost nothing, no matter how much it hurts to realize this truth.

It is right for you to clear your heart from the sins that would otherwise accumulate inside of you by your disobedience to the commandment to make a place for mutual teshuvah with those you claim to love. This act of exposing our inner hearts one to another is the greatest love we can extend to our Spiritual Family…SELAH

Does G-d really hold people accountable for their conduct, even when they are unaware of the fact that they are violating His law? Some allege that He does not. They contend, at least in a practical way, that “ignorance is bliss.” The Scriptures do not support this notion.

Leviticus 5:17 deals with this principle. Read it carefully. “And if any one sin, and do any of the things which YHWH has commanded not to be done; though he knew it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.”

Beloved; Learn to recognize the difference between healthy boundaries and destructive walls…boundaries make a liveable and kind place for others, walls do not!

An observance that becomes ever more significant to me is the awareness of how people want to feel they are good, pure and upright. People will do many deceptive things to avoid being seen as seriously flawed. I see us going around defending ourselves avoiding a good look at our pervasive stupidity. Abba is the truth teller; He says mans heart is desperately wicked…so which of us can say we are not inclined to wickedness? It is only in comparing ourselves to the words of our Creator that we see ourselves clearly. That is where Yeshua points us, let the light of truth expose what we try to hide even from ourselves…SELAH!
